ABS-CBN President and CEO Carlo L. Katigbak announced that the company might start to retrench workers unless the network returns on air soon. Katigbak made the announcement during a Senate hearing about the ABS-CBN franchise.
Despite the shutdown, ABS-CBN has committed to pay its employees for three months.
