Commission on Elections (Comelec) spokesperson James Jimenez has resigned as the focal person of the source code review on Monday, October 15, after a photo of actress Jessy Mendiola in her swimsuit was flashed on his personal computer during the poll body’s launching event last week.
In a report by GMA News, Jimenez said that the image was his personal computer’s wallpaper which flashed on the screen during the idle moment of the presentation.

He said during a press briefing: “There was a small technical issue involving flashing of a photo which was inappropriate for the event.”
“I take responsibility and I apologize. I regret it. Because of that I resigned as a focal person for the local source code review,” he added.
Jimenez said that he acknowledged the matter for the “transparency and overall credibility of the institution I serve.”
