In a separate post made by Doug on his Instagram account, he posted several photos of him and Gavin. Doug also penned a heart-warming message to their only son as he wrote:

I still remember the first time I held you, so tiny and precious. To the time where you were so soft and fluffy like a marshmallow! And now you’re becoming a little young boy who loves to explore, play all sorts of games, and loves to play extra rough on his sisters! 😂
What I love most about you Gavin is how compassionate and sweet you are. The hugs and kisses you always give me and mama! Your bright and fun personality is always so infectious to all of us. I hope you enjoyed our little spider hunting adventure today!
