Parts of the Star City amusement park in Pasay City was hit by fire after midnight on Wednesday, October 2.
According to a report by ABS-CBN News, the fire erupted at 12:22 a.m and is believed to have started in the stockroom of stuffed toys and an assortment of prizes while the amusement park was closed as mentioned by Pasay City fire marshal Paul Pili.

After two hours, the fire was raised to Task Force Bravo where some 19 fire trucks were deployed to the area. The fire was later under control at 4:30 a.m.
Part of the amusement park that was destroyed and affected by the blaze were the roof of the Snow World attraction and the Star Theater. Apart from Star City, the office of radio and television network Manila Broadcasting Company (MBC), which owns DZRH and Love Radio, was also affected by the fire.
According to Star City spokesperson Rudolph Jularbal, the amusement park might only reopen in October 2020.
