Actress Jennylyn Mercado reacted to the Bureau of Internal Revenue’s Memorandum Circular No. 60-2020 requiring all online sellers to register their online business and to declare all their transactions for it will be subject to tax.
Almost everyone reacted to the said memo circular including lawmakers and celebrities.

Jennylyn shared her sentiments about the said issue and posted her opinion on her Facebook page:
“Nakakalungkot na pati pa pala online sellers itatax na ng BIR. Kungdi ka naman kasama sa tax bracket kakailanganin pa rin kumuha ng Mayor’s permit at magregister sa DTI na gastos din.
Kawawa naman ang mga Pilipinong madiskarte na gumawa ng paraan para kumita ngayong madaming nawalan ng trabaho at nagsaradong businesses. Sa mga lumabas na articles online, baka naman pwedeng mas unahin muli itax ang POGO at hanapin ang mga illegal na POGO na hindi nagbabayad ng buwis. Baka pwede iba muna ang kuhanan ng pondo ng BIR. Huwag naman muna sana ang mga Pinoy na nakahanap ng paraan upang kumita ngayong Pandemya…
