Kapuso star Lovi Poe opened up about being the daughter of the ‘King of Philippine Movies’, actor Fernando Poe Jr.
In an online interview with movie and television writer G3 San Diego on her YouTube account, G3 and Lovi talked about the relationship she had with her late father, Fernando Poe Jr. G3 asked Lovi “how did you feel about being called Lovi Poe and everybody knew that you were the daughter of ‘da king’?”

To which Lovi answered “well you know what honestly G3, it was more of a challenge for me rather than uhm an easy way in, to be honest. Parang for me it was like, you know, I suddenly I have to fill those shoes. But, I mean like fill in you know his, like make sure that I don’t taint his good name or the legacy that he left behind. But that was in the beginning when I re, but when I thought na maybe I should take a different direction because I am not, I am just his daughter, you know what I mean. So I was just like you know I’m just going to step away from being just that and just do my own thing.”
