Actress Cristine Reyes flew to Finland together with daughter Amarah Khatibi to enjoy what the country has to offer. From the videos Cristine posted on her social media account, the mother and daughter had an enjoyable bonding time.
Amarah can be seen enjoying the cold weather and the snow.
One of the activities the two did was a dog-sledding tour in Rovaniemi where they will be pulled by 5 huskies.

This did not sit well with some netizens saying the activity is actually a form of ‘animal cruelty.’
“Naawa ako sa mga dogs, sana machine na lang ang gamit nila pang hila instead of the dogs… it can be entertaining naman kahit machine ang gagamitin instead of these innocent dogs… my kids doesn’t like riding anything if animals are involved.. for them it’s animal cruelty..”
This did not escape the attention of Cristine prompting the actress to post the following:
“To each their own. We had the same sentiments but while waiting we had the privilege of learning how they run the business and most especially how they care for all the dogs. “You can go and see for yourself. I just wanted to share this precious moment we had. I have two dogs and I think I’m fully aware of what animal cruelty means. Again, to each their own. Merry Christmas.”
Another netizen said: “I cant help not to notice the dogs barking, Poor digs, maybe the cold bother them so much”
Cristine replied: “totally wrong”
