Actor Nonie Buencamino talked about the signs he has and has not noticed before he lost his daughter Julia who took her own life in 2015.
During his interview in “Tonight With Boy Abunda”, Nonie opened up about losing Julia while he and his wife Sharmaine Buencamino were unaware of what their child had gone through.

He said: “Marami siyang itinago sa amin. Marami siyang front, I would like to think she is a good actress and she was able to hide it. Pero ang dami niyang tinago sa mga diaries niya, sa artwork niya, sa kaniyang poetry, dun lang namin nakita kung ano yung pinagdadaanan niya.”
“She was going through a deep form of depression and she was hurting herself from the time she was 12 until she was 15,” he added.
When asked if they had no idea, Nonie answered: “We had no idea. Meron lang siguro mga moment na may nakita akong mga scratches or scars doon sa kaniyang leg and i asked her ‘Are you hurting yourself?’ She said, ‘No, it’s just from playing.’ ‘Pero bakit regular ang [scars]?’ then, she got mad.”
