Meanwhile, in a short statement, Faeldon said: “I am a soldier, I do as I am told.”
Faeldon was grilled following reports about his agency, approving the release of convicted rapist-killer Antonio Sanchez based on good conduct while in prison.
The release of Sanchez in August did not push through due to public outrage.
Faeldon admitted that he signed an order that supposedly started the processing of Sanchez’s release but explained that he had to follow Republic Act 10592 which increased GCTA to cover detention time.
