Actor and TV host Robi Domingo made good his promise to marry his non-showbiz fiancée Maiqui Pineda. The vows happened at the Diocesan Shrine and Parish of San Isidro Labrador in Bulacan.
Robi was wearing a barong tagalog while Maiqui was wearing a Rajo Laurel creation.
Robi and Maiqui were college batchmates at the Ateneo de Manila University. Their romance started in 2018 and got engaged four years later.
Maiqui was was diagnosed with a rare autoimmune disease in July last year. Robi said the wedding will still pushed through as planned, at it gave her ‘something to hope for.’
“We talked about it. And honestly, because of her condition, I was the one who told her baka dapat i-delay natin ng konti, kasi medyo iniisip ko na ‘yung health niya. And then, siya ‘yung nagsabi na ‘Don’t. Give me something to hope for,’ And upon hearing that, siyempre, iyak ako. ‘Lalaban tayo, lalaban,'” Robi said in an interview.
