The coronavirus truly does not spare either the rich or the poor. In a recent post to his Facebook page, Senator Migz Zubiri informed the public that he has tested positive for COVID-19.
While the Senator is asymptomatic (meaning he does not feel nor display any symptoms of having been infected by the coronavirus), he remains in self-quarantine and will continue to cooperate closely with medical professionals in monitoring his condition.

Senator Zubiri imposed his self-quarantine last Wednesday, after a Senate session.
“i was very careful in my dealings with people at work in the Senate. I practiced social distancing as well as a no handshake policy but yet i got contaminated. How, i do not know. This just goes to show how easily this virus is spread and therefore it is best for everyone to stay home and stay clean.”
As of March 17, 2020, the coronavirus has infected over 187 people around the nation and caused twelve deaths. So far, only four recoveries have been recorded.
