Bela Padilla to raise ₱1-million for street vendors affected by community quarantine

Actress Bela Padilla launched an online fund-raising campaign targetting to raised P1-million to help street vendors affected by the Metro Manila enhanced community quarantine.

Bela set up an account on crowdfunding website GoGetFunding in an effort to help vendors who may not be able to provide food for their families while the entire Luzon is under quarantine from March 15, 2020 to April 12, 2020.

On her Twitter account, Bela encouraged netizens to support her campaign by tweeting the following:

“The best solution I came up with is for us to donate. I set up an account, and whatever money we do raise, let’s spilt 16 ways for the 16 cities of metro Manila affected by this community quarantine. I will personally see to it that the money we raise will go to the right people.”
