Senate President Tito Sotto addressed critics after he received mixed reactions from netizens following his cloud seeding proposal to the affected areas of Taal volcano’s eruption.
On Twitter, the senate president earlier suggested cloud seeding to ashfall-stricken areas and wrote: “Now is the time for cloud seeding in the Taal Volcano affected areas!”

Sen. Tito later addressed the critics in another tweet and wrote: “We should stop finding faults and people to blame. Let’s just help and pray more!”

Sen. Tito’s cloud seeding proposal drew different reactions from netizens as one user replied: “Hello dear Senator. Though a gut feel is to make a natural phenomenon solve the problem of heavy ash fall but it pose a greater risks. Acidic rains, clogged sewage system, roofs being damaged, among many others. Please reconsider your position on this.”
Another netizen wrote: “Appreciate the suggestion but it would be best to consult the experts on this, maybe focus on other areas where you can be more effective? Thanks!”
