Actor John Lloyd Cruz has been in showbiz hiatus for over a year now but his fans are still hoping for his return soon after he recently appeared in several endorsement ads and has worked behind the scenes as a director of a recently released music video.
While John Lloyd has starred in several hit movies and television series, one of his most notable and well-loved projects was the 90’s teen drama series ‘Tabing Ilog’.

Baron Geisler who was one of the cast members of the show revealed in his interview with Push that director Malu Sevilla is planning to do a reunion series or movie of the show.
Baron said: “Si Direk Malu (Sevilla) nakakausap ko. Sabi niya gusto niyang gumawa ng pelikula or series na ‘Tabing Ilog’ reunion, na malalaki na kami.”
According to Baron, he will accept the project only if John Lloyd will star in the show.
“Game ako diyan, but we need John Lloyd for this to make it work,” said Baron.
He also gave his message to John Lloyd, saying: “Nami-miss na kita Lloydie man, I miss you, man. I hope to work with you soon. Balik ka na. Kailangan ka ng industriya, pare.”
Also part of ‘Tabing Ilog’ cast were Paula Peralejo, Patrick Garcia, Jodi Sta. Maria, Paolo Contis, Desiree del Valle, and Kaye Abad.
