‘Eat Bulaga’ marks 40th anniversary, announces ‘Eat Bulaga Myanmar’ franchise

Longest running noon time television show ‘Eat Bulaga’ has marked its 40 years on air on Tuesday, July 30, with a special episode with its main hosts Senator Tito Sotto, Vic Sotto, Joey De Leon, and the rest of the ‘EB Dabarkads’.

As the show marked its 4th decade of bringing joy to television viewers, each host shared what they are most thankful for ever since they became part of the show.

Among the current hosts who were present during the celebration were Maine Mendoza, Alden Richards, Jose Manalo, Wally Bayola, Paolo Ballesteros, Ryan Agoncillo, Pia Guanio, Pauleen Luna-Sotto, Luane Dy, Ruby Rodriguez, Jimmy Santos, Ryzza Mae Dizon, and Baeby Baste.

During the special episode, Tito, Vic, and Joey made a special announcement as they invited Captain Aung Po on stage and revealed that there will be an ‘Eat Bulaga Myanmar’ franchise, following the show’s franchise in Indonesia from 2012-2016.

‘Eat Bulaga’ aired its 1st episode last July 30, 1979 with main hosts Tito, Vic, and Joey.

The show aired in different networks including RPN from 1979 to 1989, on ABS-CBN from 1989 to 1995, and on GMA Network from 1995 up to present.
