Kris Aquino reacts to Frankie Pangilinan’s post discouraging netizens to buy whitening products

Frankie Pangilinan, the daughter of megastar Sharon Cuneta has recently been gaining attention online after she shared stunning photos of her while wearing her swimsuit.

But while many expressed her admiration because of her lovely photos, Frankie gained even more praises as she revealed her purpose for sharing the pictures— a call for action to more important issues such as avoiding the use of plastic bottles and straws, supporting local farmers, supporting local products, vaccination for children, and refraining from buying whitening products.

She wrote: “hi!
whenever i post a swimsuit pic it seems to get a little extra attention. i definitely don’t feel comfortable with that when there are so many more important things we should all be discussing, so i decided to mention some here:
avoid plastic bottles and straws, recycle if you can’t (like me now abdjhsjahdhs). our farmers deserve better, try and buy from your local farms instead of going through a middle man. vaccinate your kids. register to vote. donate to @wwfphilippines. support local brands like @eighthmermaid (who very kindly gave me this bikini) because colonial mentality is bad enough and it shouldn’t get to ruin our economy. don’t buy skin whitening products. don’t body shame. stay hydrated. be kind.
that’s just a few things i believe we should all try to keep in mind ??‍♀️
much love always,
kakie ?”

In the comments section, queen of all media Kris Aquino reacted to Frankie’s stand about the use of whitening products and wrote: “Oops on the skin whitening products. Acceptable if w/ SPF? i believe we should love the skin we have but also aim for what makes us feel most beautiful. For me, all skin tones are ATTRACTIVE basta pantay ang kutis at maalaga against sun damage. ?”
