‘Pinoy Henyo’ contestants on cheating issue: “hindi ko po intensyon na mandaya”

The contestants of much talked about alleged cheating that happened on Eat Bulaga’s “Pinoy Henyo” segment came out to explain their side.

It was alleged that the contestants actually mentioned the word given and it was caught on camera and went viral online.

Eat Bulaga host Joey De Leon gave the following reaction:

“Akalain ninyong itong ‘Pinoy Henyo,’ e, pasukan ng mga mandaraya? Kaya inuulit natin, totoo yan, kahit anong laro pa yan, kapag nandaya kayo, wala nang fun! Totoo nga yung pandaraya, may fun, fundaraya. Pero hindi dapat… No cheating,” said Joey.

The contestants were interviewed on ‘Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho’ and they gave the following explanation:

“Hindi ko po intensyon na sabihin yung word na stomach. Dala lang po ng emosyon, ng intent sa sarili kaya ganoon po nangyari. Pasensya na po kung sa tingin niyo may pandadaya na naganap, pero hindi ko po intensyon na mandaya,” said the lady contestant.

The male contestant on the other hand offered the following explanation:

“Hindi po ako aware na nasasabi ko po yung word na yon. Parang nate-tense po ako na sana masabi niya po yung pinahuhula po sa kanya.

Then nung nakita ko po yung video po na yon, nagulat ako kasi nasabi ko po pala unintentionally, kaya inihihingi po namin ng pasensya po.

Alam po namin lahat ng pagkakamali namin kaya ready po kami na i-bear po lahat yung consequences po sa lahat ng pagkakamali po na nagawa po namin.” said the male contestant.
