Netizens called the attention of actress turned-politician Aiko Melendez after she uploaded some TikTok videos showing her and other officials dancing while inside the Quezon City session hall.
Netizens commented that there is always time for everything and most of them felt that recording a Tiktok video inside the session hall is inappropriate.
On Instagram, Aiko posted the video with Julian Trono with the following caption:
“Pasikat with konsi @juliantrono feeling young š Before session! Tiktok š I think we were just celebrating the approval of the of 10000 pesos bonus to all QC Employees of QC GOV, dahil Nakuha natin ulit ang COA Unqualified Opinion 3rd year in a row.”
Netizens then shared their opinions by posting numerous comments. Aiko defended her action by saying:
“Please Read the caption po. Clearly it says ābefore sessionā it means wala pa roll call and that was 30 mins before session so wala kami violate na ruling ā¤ļø FYI ā¦ I know the ruling.”
Here are some of the comments from netizens:
– “A classic example of why the government fails. Many officials think they just need to sing and dance to amuse us, and thatās it.”
– “HOW TO MAKE CONGRESS LOOK CHEAP?!?! Eeewww!”
– “You think STAGE yan? Or a DANCE STUDIO? May MALAKING FLAG SA LIKO MO O!”
