Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB) Chairperson Lala Sotto-Antonio formally submitted her courtesy resignation on May 23, 2025 (Friday).
In her letter, Sotto-Antonio expressed her gratitude and appreciation for the trust and opportunity given to her by the President.
“It has been a profound honor to serve in your administration and to lead the MTRCB in fulfilling its mandate of guiding and safeguarding the content consumed by the Filipino public,” said Sotto-Antonio.
“I remain grateful for the opportunity to contribute to nation-building through this agency and for the trust you have placed in me during my tenure.” she added.
Chairperson Sotto-Antonio was appointed by President Marcos Jr. on July 7, 2022. She is responsible for programs like Responsableng Panonood program, and modernizing the Agency’s classification systems.
