After years of fans pleading for a full-length television collaboration, the “Primetime King” Coco Martin and his real-life partner, the acclaimed Julia Montes, are officially set to headline ABS-CBN’s newest primetime powerhouse: Sigabo.
The announcement, which sent shockwaves through social media, marks the end of one massive era and the dawn of another. As the curtain falls on the record-breaking FPJ’s Batang Quiapo, the “CocoJul” tandem is ready to take the reins of the evening slot starting March 16, 2026.
While Coco Martin has spent the last decade synonymous with gritty, high-stakes action dramas like Ang Probinsyano and Batang Quiapo, Sigabo promises to be a refreshing departure. According to Coco, the new series will blend action, comedy, and romance into a “lighter” experience for Filipino households.
It has been years since the two shared a lead role in a teleserye (their last major outing being 2014’s Ikaw Lamang). Their off-screen relationship, which was only officially confirmed in 2023 after a decade of speculation, adds a layer of undeniable chemistry that fans have been hungry to see on screen.
