Senator Robin Padilla broke his silence regarding critical remarks from former co-star and friend Angel Locsin, he chose a distinctly reserved approach.
Instead of returning fire, Robin shared that he and his wife, TV host Mariel Rodriguez-Padilla, chose to view Locsin’s critique with empathy, suggesting that the actress might simply be going through a personal phase.
Known for her active stance on humanitarian and socio-political issues, Angel questioned what she described as a shift in Robin’s underlying principles, calling on the lawmaker to “wake up” and hold his platform to a higher standard of accountability.
“Si Angel Locsin, kaibigan ko yan. Ang katotohanan ay sa aming dalawang mag-asawa, nung nabalitaan namin yun, isa lang ang sinabi namin dalawa: “Baka may pinagdadaanan si Angel. Kami naman wala, so siguro intindihin na lang natin. Huwag na kaming sumagot o magsalita,” Robin said.
Robin emphasized that he harbors no ill will toward the actress and expressed a desire to keep communication channels open off-camera. “Kung gusto niya kaming makausap, bukas naman ang linya,” Robin added.
