The World Health Organization (WHO) declared the China coronavirus outbreak a global emergency. The said virus has killed 170 people in China and has spread to over 18 countries worldwide. The Philippines has already reported one patient who contacted the coronavirus.
“Let me be clear, this declaration is not a vote of no confidence in China. Our greatest concern is the potential for the virus to spread to countries with weaker health systems.” said WHO director-general Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus.
The public is adviced to be more vigilant and develop a healthier lifestyle.
