Miss Universe Philippines 2020 Rabiya Mateo thanked two of the most important woman in her life – her Mama and Lola who according to her raised them with full of dreams and aspirations. Rabiya also expressed her wish that her Lola is still with them to witnessed her victory.
On her Instagram post, Rabiya expressed her love and appreciation to her Mom and Lola by posting the following:
“We made it, Mama and Lola!
These two are the strongest women that I know. Both were single mothers but were able raise their children full of dreams and aspiration in life.
To my Lola Sol in heaven, your favorite apo is now Miss Universe Philippines. I love you so so so much. I wish you were still here witnessing our victory.🖤”
Former Miss Universe Pia Wurtzbach commented on her post – congratulating and welcoming Rabiya to the sisterhood and called her bunso:
“So sweet 🥺 congratulations queen!! Welcome to the sisterhood. 👑 Ikaw ang bunso 😊”
Rabiya responded by saying:
“Awww. Thank you Ate Pia🖤 I can’t wait to talk to you about life. I know madami ako matututunan❤️”
