Actress KC Concepcion was able to raised more than P200,000 from the handcrafted jewelry she sold and donated the proceeds to ‘Project Silong’ of the World Wildlife Fund-Philippines (WWF-PH). The proceeds will directly benefit typhoon affected fishermen in Bicol.
The aim is to rebuild the lives of Filipino fishermen – to rebuild back their homes, boats, and livelihood that was destroyed by typhoons Rolly and Ulysses.
On her Instagram, KC thanked all those who supported the project:
“Thank YOU to all who supported our cause with every @avecmoijewelry piece purchased from Nov 17-Nov 27!🌹 YOU are the reason we’ve been able to directly donate P200,000 to @wwfphilippines #ProjectSilong drive that will help provide 2,511 fiberglass boats for sustainable fishing & rebuild lives of our fishermen in Bicol, Philippines.
Also, thanks to you jewelry lovers, we’ll also be able to provide 200 packs of relief goods worth P500 each to communities in Cagayan Valley – via the Office of the Vice President and @kayanatinph – by next week. 🇵🇭
THANK YOU!!! Maraming salamat, loves”
