Kapamilya actress Janine Gutierrez revealed the reason on why she decided to leave GMA and transfer to ABS-CBN.
In an online press conference as a new artist of ABS-CBN, Janine was asked “what made you decide to transfer? Kasi sabe nga ng iba mula nung nagkaruon ng problem yung franchise ng ABS parang yung mga taga ABS transfer to dun sa ibang network which is GMA or TV5, pero ikaw parang vice versa eh ikaw yung nag transfer diba despite nawalan ng franchise pero successful naman yung digital ng ABS. what made you decide to transfer?”

To which Janine answered “ako personally I’m amazed at how despite the situation, ABS-CBN comes up with so much quality content at siyempre yung mga kapamilya hindi bumibitaw diba. Specially now even ASAP is on TV5 and sabe niyo everything is also digital, online. Ngayon meron tayong mga kapamilya from other parts of the world na kasama naten ngayon. So I feel like the opportunities are limitless din po talaga ngayon and kausap ko nga si sir Deo and siguro I’m at this stage din in my career na hindi na naman ako teenager, and I feel like some opportunities only come once and I really wanted to grab this opportunity. And make new projects, be part of new stories, work with new people so ayun. Siguro kahit ano pa man ang sitwasyon masaya atalaga akong nandito ako sa ABS-CBN.”
ABS-CBN entertainment reporter MJ Felipe added “saka we can’t deny that the reach of ABS-CBN is sobrang malawak and it’s global. I think you wanna go worldwide”.
Janine answered “that’s true, that’s true. Pangarap ko din talaga makagawa ng international project and what better place to start din here diba.”
