Actress Julia Barretto guested her dad actor Dennis Padilla in her latest vlog entry titled: “QUESTIONS I’VE NEVER ASKED MY DAD.” Julia got to ask her dad all questions she ever wanted to ask him.
One of the questions asked by Julia is “What was your greatest lesson from our past misunderstandings?”
“Number one, I should have listened first, I should not have given my opinion first. Kung baga, parang ‘Dennis, wag ka munang makialam. Alamin mo muna ‘yung puno’t dulo. Bakit hindi mo muna tanungin si Julia?’” said Dennis.
“Kaya lang ang frustration ko kasi dati, gusto ko naman ganoon ang mangyari kaya lang hindi ako makapag-communicate sa inyo kasi everytime na magte-text ako, wala akong nakukuhang feedback.” added Dennis.
“Remember that issue na diba tinatanggal niyo yung family name ko? Diba you went to court that you want to take off my family name? That was a dagger. Hindi dahil lang sa pangalan ‘yun ah. It’s not the pangalan itself. That’s my blood, kaya masakit yun. Saka hindi ko maintindihan anong dahilan bakit kailangang ipatanggal e Baldivia ka naman dahil ako tatay mo… Makakabawas ba ito sa pagkatao mo? No. Makakabawas ba ito sa popularity mo? No.” Dennis said.
Julia replied to Dennis remarks by saying:
“But then again, Pa, just to repeat myself, when you signed those papers to make your marriage with mom null and void, ultimately, that made us your illegitimate children so we were trying to correct your mistake. But I think one of your frustrations is you think you didn’t get the communication that you wanted.”
Julia praised Dennis for the progress and the transformation specially after he went through this COVID journey.
You’re so much a better person now and I can see it and I’m happy that you reach this point, honestly,” Julia told Dennis.
