Actress Aiko Melendez reaffirmed her support to presidential aspirant Bongbong Marcos and his running mate vice presidential aspirant Sara Duterte.
In her Instagram account, Aiko addressed the criticisms that she received after she posted a photo of her son, Andre with a Leni-Kiko tandem poster at the background. It appeared that the said photo was taken when her son joined a house-to-house campaign for her.
Aiko sent a message to her bashers as she explained the said photo. Aiko also reaffirmed her support to Bongbong-Sara tandem in the upcoming elections as she wrote in the caption:
“Ok im being bashed because of this picture of my son @andreyllana . Bat daw ako naging Leni- Kiko eh BBM ako. Eto po ang simpleng explanation. Nangangampanya po mga anak ko kanina and me gate dun ng supporter namen na maka Leni- Kiko di ko kailanman ang naging ugali na saklawan ang utak at isip ng aking mga supporters. Kahit sa kapamilya ko kapatid ko maka Leni, Ako maka BBM never kami nag away para sa sino man ang nais namen supportahan.”
“Hindi po ako lumipat ng susupportahan po. Dahil me paninindigan po ako. At kng ano man po ang kakalabasan ng Elections rerespetuhin namen po yan. Pero wag nyo po ako pigilan ng nais ko supportahan. Nacionalista party po ako sa totoo lng po di ko pa nakikilala sila Senator Bongbong Marcos at Inday Sara, pero un ang paninindigan ko asa kanila ang aking paniniwala.
