Actress Aiko Melendez expressed her apology to the organizers of the recently held Miss World Philippines coronation night after she skipped the pageant where she was supposed to serve as one of the judges.
In an Instagram post, Aiko shared how she rushed herself to the hospital after feeling numbness on her left body and was diagnosed with complicated migraine.

Aiko wrote alongside photos of her at the hospital: “I would like to send my apologies to the organizers of Ms World Pageant. For i will not be able to make it later to judge. Lastnight i rushed myself to the hospital not being able to watch the show that i was supposed to see, Doctors put me on monitoring status as I experienced a numbness on my left body. They had to take all the necessary tests to rule out that i had a mild stroke. I had CT scan and ECG done. And findings is Complicated migraine. I have been sufferering from severe migraine for years already.
“Dr Macalintal advised me that id be on maintenance medicine for migraine since mine is complicated migraine already. Just want to thank some people who never left my side. My daughter Marthena Jickain who fell asleep taking care of me. Sorry mimi di tayo nakawatch lastnight i will make it up to you. Sis Agnes L. Mora my bestfriend who never left my side from the time they rushed me until now. Thank you. And to my partner VG Jay Khonghun who took good care of me and never left me until nakasleep ako. I slept at 6:40am coz i was having a hard time with the numbness on my body. We only told Andre Yllana about my situation kanina coz we did not want him to worry!”
Aiko then assured her fans and followers that she is feeling better and asked for prayers for her fast recovery.
“Praying for fast recovery! In Jesus name 🙏 include me pls in your prayers. Don’t worry im feeling a lot better guys! But a prayer wont hurt 🙂 And to all those who messaged me Thank you!!!
