Actress Angel Locsin expressed her sentiments over the lashing out made by Presidential spokesperson Harry Roque over the request of medical workers that the government put NCR back to a general community quarantine (GCQ) status.
Roque scolder the doctor saying the government is concerned about the economy of the country and is also care for the welfare of its citizens.
“Do not sit there as if you are the only ones right. We’re trying to achieve total health. Who wants COVID to kill people? Are you saying that only medical frontliners are concerned about the health of the people? We all want to save lives,” said Roque.
“We’re crying out loud. No one in the government wants a single life lost. No one! How dare you think that we are not considering steps to prevent the loss of lives?” Roque added.
Angel on her Instagram story posted the following in reaction to Roque’s outburts:
“Naiintindihan ko yung concern para makapaghanap-buhay na ang mga tao. Pero bakit sinermonan yung mga medical workers natin pagkatapos ipatawag para humingi ng opinyon?” said Angel.
“Di ba spokesperson siya ng presidente? Siya na rin ba si DOH o employer ng medical workers?” Angel asked.
“Ang employee may karapatan na benefits. Ibigay kaya muna yung benefits na hindi pa nababayaran,” added Angel.
