Actor Arjo Atayde is just one of the stars who were recognized during the recently held 33rd Philippine Movie Press Club (PMPC) Star Awards for Television as he received the Best Drama Supporting Actor award for the Kapamilya series ‘The General’s Daughter’ which earlier aired its final episode last October 4.
During his speech upon accepting the award, Arjo expressed his gratitude to his co-star Angel Locsin for her encouragement as well as his family for always supporting him.

He then mentioned his rumored girlfriend Maine Mendoza and dedicated the award for her, saying: “Last but not the least, Maine, thank you so much for being such an inspiration.. This one is for you.”

Meanwhile, Maine was also recognized as Best Comedy Actress for ‘Daddy’s Girl’ but was not able to personally receive her award.
Angel also received the Best Drama Actress award for ‘The General’s Daughter’ while Jerico Rosales was recognized as Best Drama Actor for ‘Halik’. Janice de Belen also took home an award for ‘The General’s Daughter’ as she received the Best Drama Supporting Actress award.
