TV and radip broadcaster Arnold ‘Igan’ Clavio made an appeal to the Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) to recall the order in allowing malls to reopen and resume their operations. This after people troop to malls after the modified enhanced community quarantine was implemented.
Starting May 16, the MECQ would be in effect after two months of putting the country in ECQ.

On Instagram, Arnold posted a photo message with the following caption:
“Iniwan na tayo ni Pangulong Duterte. Umuwi na sa Davao. Dami kasing pasaway. Kundi ninyo kaya ipatupad ang social distancing sa mga mall, huwag nang ipilit. Isara na lang ulit at ibalik na sa ECQ ang Metro Manila!!! Huwag ninyo naman kaming idamay na mga sumusunod at takot sa COVID19.”
