Business tycoon Eduardo “Danding” Cojuangco Jr. passed away last June 16, 2020 (Wednesday) due to heart failure and pneumonia. He was 85 years old. Cojuangco served as the chief executive officer and chairman of San Miguel Corporation.

“The family of Eduardo “Danding” Cojuangco Jr. has confirmed his passing at 10:45 PM, June 16 due to pneumonia and heart attack. He was 85 years old. The family has decided to hold a private wake following his immediate cremation on account of current quarantine restrictions.”
Cojuangco was also known as a basketball patron in the UAAP and in the PBA, where SMC has three teams: San Miguel Beer, Barangay Ginebra San Miguel, and the Magnolia Hotshots.
