Businessman Atong Ang finally broke his silence after he was tagged int eh controversy involving some members of the Barretto clan following the alleged tension that took place at the wake of late patriarch Miguel Barretto.
Atong’s name has been mentioned in the issue after Gretchen Barretto was accused by her niece Nicole Barretto of stealing the businessman from her who was then Nicole’s boyfriend a few years ago.

Despite Atong, not directly confirming his relationship with Nicole in his recent interview on TV Patrol, Claudine in her phone interview with DZMM, revealed that Atong was Nicole’s ex-boyfriend.
Ay nako, si Atong parang si Edu [Manzano] yan sa buhay namin. Adopted son ni daddy at ni mommy. He’s been there for our family sa lahat.. Family friend and Nicole’s boyfriend.. Ex-boyfriend.”
“Natatandaan mo pa, dati ako ang natsitsismis? Dahil ako ang tagabantay kay Nicole kasi bata pa siya noon, e. Bata pa siya noon,” Claudine added.
Meanwhile, during his recent interview, Atong denied being romantically involved with Grectchen and Claudine but did not directly answer his supposed relationship with Nicole in the past.
