Actors Coco Martin and Jodi Sta. Maria will finally work together in a film titled “Labyu with An Accent!.” Part of the scenes will be shot here in the Philippines and the rest will be shot in the United States.
Both expressed their excitement to be working together. Coco added that he is also excited with the US trip because this will give them the opportunity to thank Filipinos abroad who gave their overwhelming support to ‘Ang Probinsyano.”
“Labyu With An Accent,” will be StarCinema’s entry to this year’s Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF).
When asked how she feels that Coco will be her co-star and at the same time director, this is what Jodi has to say:
“Sobra kong excited na madirek ng isang Coco Martin na alam naman natin na napakataba ng utak, napakagaling na director,” said Jodi.
“Kinakabahan… since magkatrabaho kami hindi lang bilang artista, magiging director ko siya, I had to ask questions talaga na ano yung working style niya. Syempre kailangan ko mag-adjust dun. Anong oras ba siya nagigising? Para alam ko kung anong oras ba tayo dapat nasa set para ma-adjust ko ‘yung tulog ko,” added Jodi
Just like in "Probinsyano," Coco will also be the director of the film aside from being the lead actor.
