Actress and vlogger Dani Barretto finally broke her silence over the viral and controversial cake-smearing video of fellow actress and vlogger Alex Gonzaga and a waiter that she uploaded on her social media account.
It can be recalled that the said viral and controversial video of Alex was taken and uploaded by Dani on her Instagram stories.
In an interview with ABS-CBN News, Dani expressed her honest thoughts and sentiments as she finally addressed the said issue. According to Dani, she regretted what happened and it was not her intention to hurt anyone.
“Regrets, Of course I do have regrets kasi nakasakit ako ng tao. Siyempre, wala sa intensyon kong makasakit lalo na on her birthday. Siguro, iyon ‘yung pinaka mabigat para sa akin, na nakasimula ako ng isang bagay na hindi ko naman ginusto. Kasi very important sa pamilya namin ‘yung mga Gonzaga. They’re very loving to our family. Alex is a very good friend of my sister. So, talagang mahal na mahal ng pamilya namin ang mga Gonzaga, and vice versa. So masakit saakin na nakasakit ako ng tao duon sa video na yun.” Dani shared.
Dani also shared that she already apologized to Alex.
“Alam naman po iyon ni Alex, kasi sa kaniya talaga ako unang nag-reach out. Wala po akong ibang kinausap, wala akong ibang ginawa. I reached out to her first and apologized to her first. Kaya lang din po hindi ako nagsasalita, kasi ayoko na talaga siyang palakihin… Move on narin tayo sa isyu na ‘to. Okay po kami ni Alex. Wala kaming ill feelings towards each other.” Dani said.
