Department of Health Secretary Francisco Duque III confirmed in a press conference that a 38-year-old Chinese patient under investigation was infected with the virus after a laboratory test in Australia turned out to be positive.
In a report by ABS-CBN News, the patient is from Wuhan, China. She arrived in Manila via Hong Kong on Jan. 21. She is now in an undisclosed government hospital.
