Former Senator Heherson “Sonny” Alvarez has died due to COVID-19, it was confirmed by his son Hexilon Alvarez. He was 80. According to reports, the former senator underwent experimental plasma therapy used to treat COVID-19 patients but but stil succumb to the virus.
His wife Cecile Guidote-Alvarez also acquired the disease but reports indicated that her condition has improved.
