In an earlier Instagram post, Sarah Lahbati and Richard Gutierrez’s star-studded wedding had to be postponed due to fears surrounding the coronavirus outbreak. Their decision to move the wedding to a later date was made to prevent further opportunities for the virus to spread.
As the community quarantine was imposed on short notice, preparations were already well underway for the wedding. Organizers had to call for an emergency meeting regarding how and where they should proceed.

One of the most difficult highlights of the wedding preparations was when they received the fresh flowers ordered in from Ecuador, Holland, and Thailand. While the other designs could be postponed to a later date, flowers are perishable and undoubtedly a cost that they would not be able to recover.
However, in a series of Instagram stories, Sarah Lahbati revealed that these flowers were donated to hospitals around their area. The couple hoped that this small act would provide inspiration and hope for healthcare professionals, many of which have been working overtime to identify and mitigate the outbreak.
