Rapper Gloc-9 took time to pay tribute to one of the artists he considers as his mentor as he marked the birthday of the late master rapper Francis Magalona.
In an Instagram post, Gloc-9 shared a throwback photo of him with Francis and recalled one of the most important advice he received from the late master rapper and expressed his endless gratitude to his mentor.

Gloc-9 wrote: “Sabi mo dati sakin Sir nung nalaman mo na dehado ako sa isang deal ko sa mga songs ko sabi mo “hayaan mo na yun ‘ris, gumawa ka nalang ulit ng kanta tinat@# lang naman natin yan. Basta tandaan mo ‘ris lagi mong gagalingan hindi lang sa ibabaw ng stage lalo mo dapat galingan sa ibaba nito.” Salamat Sir Maraming Salamat Lagi! Happy Birthday King!”
Gloc-9 and Francis previously collaborated in several songs including ‘Bagsakan’ and ‘Lando’ among others.
In his interview with Philstar last year, Gloc-9 shared how he gives back to Francis through helping his family in every way he can, saying: “Ako ay isang text lang. Anything na magagawa ko para kay Elmo o kanino man na miyembro ng pamilya ni Sir Kiko (Francis M), wala akong second thought. Lagi ‘kong gagawin yan. Lagi akong nakasuporta d’yan eh. Ang naitulong sa akin ng tatay nya ay hindi ko matutumbasan. Anything na kaya kong ibalik sa kanila, gagawin ko.”
