Senatorial aspirant Herbert Bautista apologized to actress and TV host Kris Aquino for a tweet he called ‘inappropriate’ and a mistake.
In a now deleted post, Herbert tweeted the following:

Netizens who read the tweet asked why only now when Kris is already engaged with former DILG Secretary Mel Senen Sarmiento.
On Twitter, Herbert expressed his regret and apologized to Kris for his mistake:
“I’ve already taken down a post on Twitter of which my loose remark unjustifiably hurt feelings. It was certainly inappropriate and a mistake.
My profuse apologies to Kris.”

In a separate post Herbert expressed his regret for the chance he allowed to pass.
‘I’m so sorry.
I failed to see it coming, until it was too late.
