Weightlifter Hidilyn Diaz expressed her honest thoughts and opinions when she asked about her plans on her Php33 million incentives from the Government and other supporters after winning the Olympic gold medal in the women’s 55 kilogram division.
It can be recalled that Hidilyn is set to receive Php33 million worth of incentives from the Philippine Sports Commission (PSC) and other supporters. Aside from that, Hidilyn will also receive a house and lot in Tagaytay according to Philippine Olympic Committee (POC) president Rep. Abraham “Bambol” Tolentino.
In TV host Gretchen Ho’s Twitter account, she posted a short clip taken during her interview with Hidilyn. In the said video, Gretchen asked Hidilyn about her plans on her incentives.
“Anong gagawin mo duon sa 33 million pesos na yun?” Gretchen asked Hidilyn.
“Sa totoo lang wala pa akong plano. Siyempre magbibigay ako ng tithes. Then after that I’m not sure. Alam ko mag se-save ako for our future, my future, and of course giving back to the community…” Hidilyn shared.
