Isko Moreno: “Hindi ako naniniwala na ang posisyon sa gobyerno minamana”

Manila City Mayor Isko Moreno expressed his honest thoughts and opinions regarding political dynasty.

In a virtual interview for ‘Headstart’ hosted by Karen Davila, Isko was asked if having another Duterte as a President would be good for the country. It can be recalled that recently, there are rumors that President Rodigo Duterte’s daughter, Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte is possibly running for Presidency in the next elections.

“Would another Duterte Presidency be good for the country?” Karen asked Mayor Isko.

“Ayaw kong pangunahan ang taong bayan sa pagpili nila ng kanilang leader. But I hope they will not be called stupid later on…” Mayor Isko said.

Mayor Isko also shared that he doesn’t believe that a government’s position is inherited in a democratic government.

“Well there is presence, clear presence of political dynasty. At hindi ako naniniwala na ang posisyon sa gobyerno minamana, in a democratic government.

Ang demokrasya, ang taong bayan ang pumipili. Hindi ipinipilit yung mga kalahi niya pagkatapos niya na. Hindi ako naniniwala diyan and I’m not gonna vote for that, as a voter.” Mayor Isko said.
