Kapamilya star Iza Calzado inspired a lot of her fans and followers as she posted a raw old photo of herself.
In her Instagram account, Iza posted two photos of her. The first photo was taken when she was still young and she introduced her old self to her fans and followers as ‘big’. Iza admitted that she has been teased a lot by her family and friends because of her body figure when she was still young.
In the second photo that she shared, she posted a recent photo of her where she was seen smiling brightly in front of the camera. Iza also expressed her honest thoughts and opinions over name calling and labels as she wrote in the caption:
“Meet Big. She was teased a lot by her family and friends. A lot of them were well meaning and even came from a place of love and concern but the truth with name calling or labels is that it sticks and you may carry it with you or believe in it.
It takes a whole level of confidence, courage, and strength to break free from these names thrown your way. That’s why I want to support Dove’s #stopthenamecalling movement so young girls, like this one here no longer have to endure years of fighting to be seen and known beyond the names. I hope we can stop normalizing in our culture where young girls have to live under the shadows of the names people call them.
