Basketball player James Yap came to the defense of his son Bimby saying that his son is not gay. Bimby’s gender has been the subject of discussion among netizens.
Bimby himself already denied that allegation and directly said that he is not gay during his question and answer session with his mom TV host Kris Aquino.
In an article by Dolly Anne Carvajal for Inquirer.net, James shared his thoughts about the said controversy about his son.
Miga, tahimik lang ako gani parte sa issue na agi kuno si Bimby kay kabalo ko indi man guid siya agi. Dili ako gapati sa kucho-kucho. (I’ve been quiet about the issue that Bimby is supposedly gay. Because I know for sure that he is not gay. I don’t believe in gossip.) said James.
“I was with Bimby till he turned 7, that’s why I know he’s a real boy. Because even when a kid is still young, it’s already obvious if he’s gay.” added James.
James also added that he can understand where Kris is coming from since Bimby grew up with her.
