Actress Jessy Mendiola got the scare of her life when she found out that she contracted Covid last September 3. Jessy is five months pregnant with her first child with actor Luis Manzano.
Jessy added that it was her first time to have the virus and call on everyone to still continue to protect each other.
Last September 13, Jessy had herself tested again and the result was negative.
Here is Jessy’s full post on Instagram:
“After almost 3 years of being so paranoid and careful… I tested positive for Covid-19 last Sept 3. I had symptoms and, for me, it was the hardest 11 days of my life. It was my first time to get infected with the virus. I never thought I would get it while 5 months (and 3 weeks) pregnant.
I’m sharing this difficult experience with you because I want to spread awareness that Covid-19 is still very much around. Even if protocols are easing up and there already is a mandate allowing people not to wear masks outdoors.. I hope we still protect each other in our own little ways.
Sa mga preggy mommies/ladies, I’m sure makaka-relate kayo dito.. ang hirap pala talaga magkasakit kapag alam mong may dinadala ka sa iyong sinapupunan hindi dahil sa sarili mo, pero dahil magaalala ka talaga para sa baby/anak mo at siyempre para sa asawa mo.
