Jinkee Pacquiao, wife of boxing champ Sen. Manny Pacquiao apologized for the use of wrong flag emoji when she congratulated Weightlifter Hidilyn Diaz for winning the Olympic gold medal in the women’s 55 kilogram division.
It can be recalled that on her Instagram story, Jinkee congratulated Hidilyn as she posted a video taken during the awarding ceremony. Many netizens noticed the flag emoji that was used by Jinkee as she mistakenly used the flag emoji for Sint Maarten instead of Philippines.
Jinkee took to her Instagram account to apologize as she posted a photo of Hidilyn. According to Jinkee her use of the wrong flag emoji was unintentional. Jinkee congratulated Hidilyn as she wrote:
“Congratulations Hidilyn Diaz. You make us proud! ✨👍👏 #philippines🇵🇭
Pasensya na po sa mali na flag ang napindot ko sa ig stories ko kahapon. 🙏🙏🙏 (forgive me 🙏#philippines🇵🇭 ) That was unintentional. Love you all! God is good! ✨🙏”
