On her Instagram account, the beautiful actress said the character pushed her out of her “safe” box.
“My character as Marissa Pineda has truly pushed me out of my “safe” box. I have always believed in trusting the process of the characters I portray. I admit, I was uncomfortable at first but getting through the process and trusting the people I work with to achieve the desired characterization was worth it.”
