TV host and actor Joey De Leon clarified the statement he and former senator Tito Sotto made during the airing of ‘Eat Bulaga’ on those who are spreading lies that their noontime program is losing money and will be off the air soon.
Joey clarified that they are not referring to the program “It’s Showtime” which is being aired on GMA7. Eat Bulaga is aired on TV5.
“Ito’y para lang matapos yung mga usap-usapan—unang-una, hindi namin kaaway yung ‘Showtime'”. “Yung ‘Showtime,’ matagal na namin kapitbahay yon. Hindi rin kami tinitira, hindi rin namin sila tinitira.” started Joey.
“Ang pinapatungkulan namin ni Tito nung nagalit kami sa ‘Eat Bulaga’ ay yung mga social media na nagpo-post, yung mga nagpo-programa. Kaya hinamon ko tatagal nang 15 years yung mga nagpo-post na yon, hindi yung ‘Showtime.’” Joey added.
“Mahal namin ang ‘Showtime’ dahil kasabayan namin. Da-dalawa na lang kami, wag niyo kaming pagsabungin. Magkakaibigan din kami.” said Joey.
