GMA7 reporter Joseph Morong trended online and has been receiving backlash from netizens over his “art for money is not art” remark on Twitter.

The said tweet from Joseph caught the attention of netizens and appeared to leave a bad impression as they expressed their thoughts and opinions. Joseph already deleted his tweet and explained.

He tweeted “I acknowledge all your comments. Didn’t mean to diminish struggling artists. I believe that even when the artpiece is sold, it still comes with it, the passion and the soul of the artists.” He added “Why was the statement a test? Another way of asking: why do you do art?”
