TV broadcaster Karen Davila and actress Agot Isidro reacted to the statement made by President Rodrigo Duterte that the presidency is not for women. The President made the remark during the inauguration of Skyway 3 in reference to her daughter Davao Mayor Inday Sara’s rumored plans to run for the presidency.
On Twitter, Karen expressed her sentiments over the said remarks made by the President.
“Women make great leaders. Yes, the Presidency or any other job for that matter, can be handled by a qualified woman. #empoweredwomen @UN_Women @unwomenasia” tweeted Karen.
